Easy Diet Recipes

If you are trying to lose weight, here are GoalTribe’s favorite easy diet recipes that will help you reach your goal.



Grilled Asparagus

A great and easy diet food is asparagus. It’s quite easy to make a lovely and simple dish. Break off the tough ends of the asparagus. Lay the pieces on a baking pan. Drizzle a little bit of olive oil over the top. Grill (in an over, broil) them at a high temperature for about 10 minutes. Delicious to eat, hardly any calories, and really good for you.

Easy Diet Dinner: Yogurt with Walnuts

A nice bowl of low fat vanilla yogurt, with some whole walnuts added, is a very nice light dinner, or afternoon snack. The yogurt and walnuts both provide good sources of protein, and are very nourishing and stabilizing for your blood sugar.

Breakfast Protein Shake

Start your day with a protein shake that adds power but not pounds. In a blender, put a half a banana, a quarter cup of non-fat yogurt, a cup of water, and a scoop of your favorite protein powder. Blend and drink. An easy diet recipe that starts your day right. For variations, use berries instead of bananas.

Spinach Lentil Dish

The origin of this recipe is from Madhur Jaffries great Indian CookBook. It’s so easy- a cup of lentils cooked with about three cups of water. Then a pound of fresh or frozen spinach is added, as well as fresh ground cumin (about one teaspoon), and salt. Couldn’t be easier to make, and it’s great for an easy diet recipe, as the lentils are very healthy, and the spinach adds no calories at all. The cumin gives it all the flavor it needs. You can add more water for it to be more soupy if you like, but otherwise, it is a nice dish served on something like quinoa or brown rice.

Zucchini Hummus

If you never had a zucchini hummus, you are in for a treat. It tastes almost like the real chickpea hummus, but has less calories. You make it in a food processor. Chop the zucchini, add some seasoning like garlic, salt, and ground cumin. Add olive oil and lemon juice (about 4 tbs of olive oil, and 2 lemons juiced). It is just an incredible dish, made in no time at all, and very healthy for you as well.

Miso Soup

For a nourishing soup on a cold day, or even a warm day, miso soup is perfect. It has protein and almost zero calories. Buy miso paste in your local store, and usually it is about one tablespoon of miso paste per cup of water. The best way to make a special miso soup is to add half an onion sliced and lightly sautéed, a few carrots, cut into small pieces, and optionally a bit of cubed tofu but it is not essential. Seaweed tops it off, and then when you serve, put some freshly chopped scallions on top. This is a nutritious and delicious easy diet recipe.
